Import Processing can be a method of converting 1099 legacy data (or third party software activity) to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 1099 work tables (GL worktable - F045141 and/or Accounts Payable worktable - F045143).  Presently, a user can click on P04510FP form W04510FPB Tools> Import and. However, the one key field for 1099 recipient  (AN8) is missing. This basically renders the import process unusable when converting legacy data to JDE 1099 workfile. The GL method does not have an import feature.

Batch File Processing (Z File processing) on the other hand would require the user to create an interface program to map the data directly to a 1099 Batch File Table. This may not be feasible since the interface program will have to be maintained for any changes in 1099 reporting requirements. If 1099 legacy data resides in a spreadsheet, the user should have a choice to import the 1099 data directly into the respective 1099 AP Worktable (F045143) or GL Worktable (F045141).
