E1: 42: Alternate Tax Rate Area Does Not Work with Inventory Commitment Preference
(Doc ID 1619567.1)
Last updated on AUGUST 07, 2021
Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Entry - Version 9.1 to 9.1 [Release 9.1]JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Processing - Version 9.1 to 9.1 [Release 9.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Alternate Tax Rate/Area Definition (new functionality in 9.1) allows the system to assign the correct Tax Rate/Area, based on the combination of a shipping Branch/Plant and the ship to country.
This functionality does not work in combination with Advanced Preferences for Inventory Commitment or Standard Inventory Commitment.
When a sales order is entered and Inventory Commitment Preference is enabled, the branch/plant is selected by this functionality and then the Alternate Tax Rate/Area as defined in P40081 is ignored.
If Inventory Commitment is switched off however, the tax rate assignment works as expected.
