E1: 34: Incorrect MRP Planning with PN Controlled Items (Doc ID 1620581.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 23, 2015

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Requirements Planning - Version 9.1 to 9.1 [Release 9.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

MRP Multi-Plant is not planning correctly the production number controlled items. If on the demand B/P there is a manufactured item (PN controlled) that has beneath a purchased subassembly (PN controlled) manufactured on the supply B/P, having a purchased component (PN controlled) on the BOM, MRP creates correct messages only for the demand B/P. In this case, MRP creates 'O' messages for creating a WO for the top parent item and an OT order for transferring the subassembly from the supply B/P to demand B/P but fails to create 'O' messages for generating a WO to produce the subassembly and an OP order to purchase the subassembly's component in the supply B/P.
When the Production Number Controlled flag for items is off, all messages are generated correctly.
