Can Work Order Processing (R31410) be run in a multithreaded queue?  A concern is current and future performance.  The job runs for about ten hours at night, processing up to 6000 work orders.  The company is expanding and wants performance of R31410 to be improved to keep pace with growth in the coming year.

Data selection is CostCenter = 2476

Cat.WorkOrder006 = 2

StatusCodeWo <= 20

What are the risks and benefits of running in a multithreaded queue?  Cost rollup is run every few months, and if it is run at the same time as R31410, data integrity many be compromised.

 The R31410 is currently being run in a single threaded queue, and the job run takes too long.  Processing about 6000 records takes about ten hours, and the length of time impeded other manufacturing transaction from occurring.

The performance of the R31410 needs to be improved.
