BUG 17442985 (Dynamic Configuration Allowed w/o CSER Processed Against Optional Segment) was completed but should not have been. In the previous Bug, it was stated that an error should only occur if there is more than one valid answer to the return Optional Segment in question and the segment was left blank. This was incorrect and Bug 17905993 was created to reverse this code. With a dynamic configured setup, if a Cross Segment Editing Rule (CSER) is defined to ensure that an Optional Segment has the same value as a Required Segment, the system is not returning that value to the Drop-down combo-box. Instead, the Select One option should display in the box to allow the user to keep the Optional Segment blank if desired.
If there is one valid answer and it is desired that the system default this answer to the Optional Segment, then the Cross Segment Editing Rule should be defined with the *REQ Operand to not only return only one UDC value, but change the Segment to Required so that the system defaults in the value in the UDC drop-down box.
If Segment 10 Equals YES
Then (*) Segment 20 Equals *REQ
Then (*) Segment 20 Equals BLUE
