In the P4312 W4312A form, the DD edit for Upper Case has been disabled for LOT1 and LOT2. This affects how the data is written to the DB. It data is entered into LOT1 or LOT2 grid columns in the
P4312 then it will stored exactly as entered in the DB. So if a user entered in lower case it will be stored in lower case in the DB. However when viewed in the P4108, P41203, and other apps it will be displayed as all upper case
which is FAD. In the P4108, P4112, P4113, P4114, etc if you entered data in the LOT1 and LOT2 fields in lower case we convert to upper and write to the DB in upper case.
This causes an issue with the Oracle DB since queries are case sensitive. For example a client may create a custom report that keys off of LOT1 or LOT2 and since the query is case sensitive in Oracle, not all the data may be fetched
due to some of it being stored in lower case.
