E1: 42: Backorder Release For A Prepayment Order With Vertex Ignores TDM
Last updated on NOVEMBER 17, 2015
Applies to:JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Entry - Version 9.1 to 9.1 [Release 9.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
When a prepayment order for a customer with a Vertex geocode assigned goes on backorder, the prepayment record in table F004201 is written with a tax amount. If a Tax Decision Maker (TDM) exemption exists in Vertex that matches the order, the F004201 tax amount field is blank. When quantity becomes available to fill the order and the order is processed via Online Backorder Release (P42117) or Batch Backorder Release (R42118), incomplete information is sent into Vertex.
Only the Ship To geocode is sent into Vertex for the value in the Ship To, Ship From, and Order Acceptance geocode values. Division Code and Product Code values are not sent into Vertex during backorder release. As a result, TDM information that was read and processed during order entry is not processed during backorder release. Transactions that should not be taxed due to TDM exemptions are taxed. The prepayment table, F004201, can incorrectly include a tax amount or includes an incorrect tax amount.
