Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The data item FNDFUF2 is defined in Data Dictionary to have a 30 char length but in column JCFNDFUF2 in F986110, it is only able to hold up to 29 char length. The version name in the Job column is being truncated to form a string length of 29 characters instead of 30 characters.

Steps to Duplicate:

  1. Copy a standard report to a new report name with name as long as possible. For example copy R0006P to "R5500006PP" - 7 character.
  2. Add a new version and give a version name with name as long as possible for example "TEST123456" - 10 characters
  3. Now submit the version to server.
  4. Go to Work With Submitted Jobs - P986110B and noted the column JCFNDFUF2 JOB in F986110. The job name is "R5500006PP_TEST12345_1800_PDF" - 29 characters. The version name is truncated by 1 character to limit to 29 characters instead of 30 characters.
