E1: VERTEX: Unable To Generate Vertex Logs on Linux Servers

On an AS/400 V6R1 Enterprise Server, the invoke "Vertex Log" is not launching. Vertex Log is enabled from application P7306 and select the Form drop down menu to locate "Vertex Log." After selecting Vertex Log radio button, no logs are being created with the path selected on the form.
