JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Processing - Version 8.12 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Sales Update (R42800) does not generate journal entries for the withheld Brazilian localization taxes PIS, COFINS, CSLL, IRPJ, ISS, INSS even though these withholding taxes have been correctly calculated at the time of Nota Fiscal Generation (R76558B). User expects journal entries to be created for all Brazilian localization withholding taxes in service sales orders, just like the ones created for the Brazilian localization withholding taxes in procurement.

Also, the total amount on in the A/R Ledger (F03B11) records shows the total gross amount of order.

Under Brazilian law the amount to be charged to the customer on accounts receivable for these invoices should be the net amount after subtracting withholding taxes. The withholding amount should be retained by the company and later directly remitted to the Brazilian government.
