E1: iPAD: iOS - P4310 - Erratic Behaviour When Entering Purchase Order Details (Doc ID 1677818.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 08, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 8.98 to 9.1 [Release 8.98 to 9.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When entering Purchase Order Details in P4310 on the iPad, the following erratic behaviours occur:

1. When tapping on the Item Number field, the keyboard pops up briefly then disappears. So users are not able to enter the related values in Item Number to create new Order line.

2. When tapping on most of the other fields in the same Order line (Extended Cost, Line Type, Quantity Ordered, etc.) the keyboard shakes in erratic fashion, then the cursor is placed in another field than the one being tapped on. For example, tapping on Extended Cost produces the shaky keyboard, then the cursor gets placed in Quantity Ordered field, which is 2 fields on the left. The placement of the cursor is not consistent, it can end up right or left to the field being tapped on.

These issues have been reported to occur in iPad 2 and iPad Air, running iOS 7.1, in both the JDE E1 Container (version 1.1.1) and also Safari browser.
