E1: 42: Sales Order Entry (P4210 / P42101) and Invoice Print (R42565) Do Not Validate Expired Sales Tax Rate/Area (Doc ID 1678006.1)

Last updated on APRIL 04, 2025

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Entry - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When entering a Sales Order with a Tax Rate Area that has expired, Sales Order Entry (P4210) does not issue an error to prevent the order from being entered with taxes that are expired. Also the the Invoice Print (R42565) allows the sales invoice to be printed and sent to the customer with tax calculations that are not valid and expired.

Sales Order Entry (P4210) should issue an error stating “Tax Information has expired” to prevent the order from being entered or Invoice Print (R42565) should issue a Work Center Error stating Tax Information has expired and prevent the invoice from being printed and sent to the customer. Sales Update (R42800) does prevent the creation of an invoice with an expired tax rate.
