Symptoms

P420111 – Sales Quotes Release
P42101 - Sales Order Entry Power Form
P4210 - Configured Sales Order Entry

When copying or converting a configured sales quote into a 'W’ Ln Ty configured sales order using P42101, P4210 or P420111, the system blanks out the LNID value in the Work Order (WO) Header for the configured children within the configuration. The LNID field is the only field helpful to differentiate a not needed order due to an SO reconfiguration. It is important that a valid WO has his proper LNID that links it to the SO component in the same way a direct SO is placed.
If the value of LNID is missing, you don't have any difference on a WO that is generated for a child component of an SQ converted SO, or a WO for a canceled component from an SO reconfiguration. That leads you to think this WO is for a cancelled component and the only way to verify this is to track it to his SO and then to look if it is originating in a SQ. It can lead to cancel that work order by mistake.
