Automatic Accounting Instructions (AAI) consists of range of Item codes GLG1 through GLG13. Within this range, the only item, GLG4 was originally designed to be setup for a specific company only and the remaining items were to be setup for Default Company 00000 only.
Currently the software is allowing users to setup company specific AAI's for any of them and this is in direct violation of published document E1: 09: Overview of Automatic Accounting Instructions (AAI) in General Accounting (P0012) (Doc ID 664682.1). An example noted: customers are setting up AAI's GLG6 and GLG12 to be Company specific and keep the remaining items at the default company. The results were that certain object ranges that should
have been considered balance sheet accounts were instead included in Profit and Loss (P&L) ranges and other object accounts that should have been considered P&L were actually considered as Balance sheet accounts. This can cause inconsistencies in report generation, financial inquiry, etc.
In addition, objects entered are varied in length contrary to Account Flex Set-up (P0907).
