Purpose

There are a number of different ways to use Holds in Sales. This document addresses basic setup of a hold code, how to get it applied to an order and how to release a sales order that is on hold. Hold codes do not prevent the creation of sales orders. Instead, a hold code will be placed on the order if the conditions are met. There are holds that are used in conjunction with other processes like Credit Checking or Product Allocation.
