When a Job Cost ETO work order is updated outside of the project, certain ETO related fields may be cleared. This is inconsistent, as some programs, such as P31113 and P31114 are able to update the work order header while retaining the ETO related fields. Previously, P48013 was found to be one program that clears ETO fields.
When updating the work order status either directly in Shop Floor Workbench P31225 or from the row exit to update status, the Job Cost ETO mfg WO status is updated without clearing the ETO related fields. However, if the P31225 is used to access the work order header, then the status tab, and a status change is made, then the status is updated as expected, but ETO related fields are cleared. This is an issue with P48013, called from P31225.
When a change is done in P31225 > P48013 only those fields the user changed should be updated, the others should remain unchanged.
Expect to be able to update work order status and other non-critical fields, such as on the people tab, and the cat codes tab, as these fields are best controlled from the shop floor. Also expect that when making these certain changes in P48013 for ETO work orders, the changes be made without introducing data inconsistencies. When a change is done in P48013 only those fields the user changed should be updated, the others should remain unchanged.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Add or select an ETO Job Cost project with a manufacturing work order.
2. Process project to attach parts list.
3. From P31225 advance work order status using a selected work order.
4. From P31225 advance work order status using the row exit to Update WO Status. OK so Far.
5. From P31225 advance work order status using the row exit to WO Header P48013 and change the status.
Note: that ETO related data fields in F4801 and F4801T are cleared by this update.
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot update work order status without impacting the project attributes.
