Last updated on AUGUST 11, 2021

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.1 to 9.1 [Release 9.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

User created a Report Definition (RD) job to have a customized file name by mapping a date field from the XML source. RD job is run successfully and ends in 'D' status. But when trying to open the same RD output from web, it fails with the below error:

View Report Definition File Error
An error occurred attempting to view the file for this Report Definition. Please see logs to determine the source of the error.

JAS log has the below message:

It is observed that the issue happens when the RD job is run on a non-windows platform. If the RD job is run on windows server, the output can be viewed successfully from web and '/' characters are stripped off from the date field in the RD output file name. Error occurs on local web as well as on HTML instance. From FAT client the output can be successfully retrieved for the same RD job.
