Symptoms

The Query By Example (QBE) fails to fetch records for amount fields with currency display decimals of zero like Gross Amount (AG) or Open Amount(AAP) even though records are verified to exist. The QBE Search automatically multiplies the entered amount in the QBE by 100 which causes the search to fail or incorrect records to be fetched.

For example, in P0411 and P03B2002 applications, click Find. Take note of a particular record of the document number and the gross amount columns. In the QBE of gross amount, enter the noted amount. Then click Find. The search will either fail or wrong records are retrieved. That is if 123 is entered in Gross Amount, records with Gross Amount = 123.00 will be retrieved. To search for the correct record, the user must enter 1.23 instead.

This issue is happening only to currencies where the currency display decimals are set to zero. For example TWD (Taiwan Dollar), JPY (Japanese Yen) and KRW (Korean Won). The Foreign Amount column which is usually in US dollars does not have the issue. Currencies (e.g. USD, SGD, EUR) that have 2 currency display decimals are retrieved successfully when doing a QBE search.
