E1: OVR: Using SSL Enabled JAS Server and Non-SSL BIP Server causes BIP Login Screen to Appear (Doc ID 1913283.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 13, 2021

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

SSL has been enabled on the JAS server. The users are able to login to the JDE application using either the HTTP or HTTPS ports.
The BI Publisher Enterprise (BIP) server is built on another WebLogic server that is not SSL enabled.

When using the protocol of HTTP (JAS) -> HTTP (BIP), the users can access the OVR reports seamlessly.
But when using the protocol of HTTPS (JAS) -> HTTP (BIP), the user will see the BIP login screen and is required to login to the BIP server.
