Purpose
As Of Processing Overview
As Of Processing is used to determine what the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable balances looked like as of a certain date, rather than how they look at runtime. This functionality can be helpful when trying to close a period because often times, the actual closure does not occur on the last day of the period. Data can be entered into the next period before period-end has been completed. Therefore, a significant difference can exist between As Of data and real-time data.
As Of Processing provides the tools to verify how transaction data looked on a specific date, regardless of what the current situation is.
