E1: 31B: Blend Operation Item Commitment Control (Doc ID 1917758.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 22, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Blend Management - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Required:  Inventory commitments (Additives, Consumables, EUR and MT items, etc) be assigned/performed when the operation is at an Active or Actual status.

Require a soft commit of inventory to/from ERP Inventory to/From Blend at Active status and hard commit at Actual status.
Also require warning if inventory goes negative.  Add the concept of On-Hand - Committed = available inventory.

This is needed for inventory control and MRP and better tie between transfer to bottle from blend and bottling manufacturing work orders.
This should apply to EUR, Additive, Consumable and Material Type items.

Additives/Consumables : Need to see inventory depletions before the operation is closed. Soft commit when the blend op is at status ACTIVE,
hard commit when the blend op is at status ACTUAL.

EUR item : Transfer from blend - EUR Items show as On Receipt so lot can be used in manufacturing work order.  This would allow the users
to update the bottling information to match the results of the manufacturing bottling work order once completed.  Commit to the
manufacturing bottling work order.  (The Manufacturing Constants P3009 Commitment Control settings define the commitment at this point?)

Material types (used for PO's and SO's) : Need the ability to see (preferably auto connect and update) quantities being purchased/sold.
Material not EUR are used to purchase/sell bulk wine.

Possible solution: Enhance the Winery Constants (P31B13) to include commitment rules similar to those in Manufacturing Constants (P3009, Commitment Control tab).
