E1: 31B: Sample Functionality Required by Large Winery Operations (Doc ID 1920140.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 10, 2015

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Blend Management - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

E1 9.1 / Blend Sample Management
Current sample functionality does not allow for:
1. Multiple create of QA operations with Sample requests, ie. using Work Order templates or configured operations
2. No Mass update of sample and QA details using speed Quality Update
3. Loss (used for testing/tasting) on QA operations, (Tanks and VBT's) when using VBT's - need to be able to capture partial barrels, which results in incorrect volume, financial impact not taken at time of loss, incorrect TTB on premise reporting.
4. Material Type not showing on the samples workbench
5. Losses are not taken (thus are not reported correctly on TTB on Premise report (non compliance and large fines). The inventory balance is over stated and the financial impact is not being taken at the correct point in time).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Required:
1. Track samples taken during the production and storage process.
2. Track less than full barrels (sampling TTB requirements).
3. (Maybe)  A modification to VBT Movement Detail To VBT detail and From VBT detail sub form to allow auto selection of number of barrels needed for the fill or empty.

Issues:
Barrels are considered full or empty in Blend.  Current sample functionality is labor intensive as there is no Mass Create or Mass Update capability.  Current functionality does not reduce inventory (blend WIP?).
This results in inaccurate Inventory, Financials and TTB On Premise reporting.
