E1: SVM: Incorrect JVM Count Under Runtime Metrics for JAS HTML Server Instances (Doc ID 1922894.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 13, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 8.98 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

You have multiple non-clustered JAS instances configured and each have it's Windows Service configured, out of these instances, there is an issue in displaying Runtime Metrics of two instance's - JAS_A  and JAS_B.
When you start the instance - JAS_B, active JVM count is displayed as 0 under Runtime Metrics but you can see the status as Running and also access the instance.

This JVM for instance JAS_B is actually being displayed under different instance - JAS_A, as we generally see in case of clustering. So Runtime Metrics of instance - JAS_A displays two JVM's and both as null.

If you stop the instance JAS_B, Runtime Metrics of instance JAS_A is displayed correctly with right number of JVM's i.e. 1. Both instances are configured on same Web Server.
