Purchase Order Entry/P4310
Currently when inquiring on a configured item in the Purchase Order Entry program, P4310, the only way to view the full configuration at all levels is by taking the row exit to View Configured Item. When taking this row exit, the system will attempt to take the user to the P3210. However, if the item is a child whose purchase order was created via a parent order (i.e. Configured parent sales order), the system produces the following error:
"This application did not originate the transaction. Therefore, only the original application will allow committing the change in the configuration."
The system then takes the user to the P32983 to view the configuration where no changes can be made.
If the purchase order is created for a configured item directly, the same row exit will take the user to the P3210 (not the P32983). Therefore changes (wanted or unwanted) can be made to the configuration from the same row exit.
The request is to have different row exits: one to the P3210 and the other to the P32983. This would ensure that users could view a full configuration without making unwanted changes by using the P32983. The P3210 row exit would only be active if the P4310 originated the transaction.
