E1: 13: Customer Number Is Not Updated When The Equipment Number Is Changed

Symptoms

Equipment and Plant Maintenance Work Order - P13714

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
The Client Number and Business Unit are not updated from The Equipment Master in P13714.

When a Work Order is added or copied in P13714 (CAM - Manage Equipment Work Orders) and the Equipment Number is changed, the Client Number and Business Unit are not updated from the Equipment Master. As a result, the issues and the time entry batches will affect different Business Unit.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
It is expected that the customer number should be updated to match the corrected equipment number, not just the description.

STEPS
-----------------------
1. Find 2 pieces of equipment with different customer numbers.
2. Go to P13714 and enter the first equipment number and tab out - note the proper customer number is defaulted.
3. Go back and correct the equipment number to the second piece of equipment and tab out, and note the customer number is not updated. The equipment description is properly updated.

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, most users would not know the correct respective equipment customer, leading to potentially incorrect entries. The issues and the time entry batches will affect different Business Unit, creating a financial impact.
