E1: GRID: Trailing Spaces Found from the end of a Cell (Column) after Exporting to Excel from the Grid on Web Client (Doc ID 1930108.1)

Trailing spaces are found at the end of a cell such as "Address Number", "Ship To Number" etc.  Obviously indicating that there is no trim function when exporting grid data to excel on web.  On the contrary, the fat client does not have this problem.  

Following the below steps as an example to replicate the issue on trailing space,

  1. Launch P98950
  2. Click FIND
  3. Notice that the 'GC Form Name' has some trailing spaces in the data
  4. During Export grid data operation, the same data with trailing spaces is exported to Excel.

Following picture is a screen shot of the excel sheet that has the grid data exported from fat client:-

As shown from the picture above, there is no trailing space.  This issue does not happen to local web client as well.

Below image shows the excel sheet that has the grid data exported from web client:-

As highlighted, it has trailing spaces at the end of the description cell.
