E1: 46: Notification needed that Advanced Warehousing is Active and P4605 Must be Used for Cycle Count Entry (Doc ID 1935008.1)

Last updated on JULY 11, 2016

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Warehouse Management - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When Advanced Warehousing is turned on (in the Branch Constants) and Cycle
Counting is performed, users must enter quantities in the Warehouse Location
Detail screen (P4605). If users make a mistake and do not use P4605 to enter
counts, a system error message will appear when updating P4141 (see
attachment). Once this system error message appears, the Cycle Count cannot
be corrected or used in any fashion. Users, in order to complete a cycle
count, must start over with a new cycle count and entry. This can be a major
effort and discourage users from utilizing JDE Cycle Counts.

Customer would like functionality enhanced to add an additional error message
that checks for Advanced Warehousing and any cycle count entry that does not
include values in the P4605. This hard error would prevent any update to
P4141 and keep the cycle count from being updated until P4605 was updated
