Symptoms

JD Edwards : 9.0 version, Configurator

R31410 Order Promising

Tools Release 8.98

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Configurator R and Q rules are using the sales order requested date for validating the effective dates when the Work Order header is based on the Pick Date

In 9.0 we started validating R and Q rules at sales order entry however we still use the sales order requested date to validate the rules and if we have leadtime days the system will calculate those from the sales order requested date to validate the rules. Since we pass the pick date to the work order header requested date we would like to use this date when validating the rules

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
To have the system give the option to use the Pick Date for validating configurator P, Q, R and C rules

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Add a configured sales order with the requested date different than the pick date
2. The work order created will use the pick date to establish the requested date of the work order header and backschedule the leadtime from that date to come up with the start date
3. When the R31410 is run to attach the rules to the work order our system is using the sales order requested date minus any leadtime days to validate the rules

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
The customer has business needs where due to supply chain problems they are not able to meet the requested date of the sales order and must pick and ship after the requested date of the sales order. This impacts the rules our system validates
