Last updated on NOVEMBER 22, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Demand Scheduling Execution - Version 9.0 to 9.0 [Release 9.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

EDI Inbound Demand Edit/Update (R47171) is not processing records correctly after having run successfully for 4 years. There has been no change to dataset, settings or hardware.

Incoming Data:
F47171 - updated with processed Successfully.
F47172 - no update
F47173 - updated with processed Successfully.

Outgoing data:
F40R10 - no update
F40R11 - no update

The UKID used for F40R42 Cumulative Quantity History is Data Dictionary item CREATETM. This is only 6 characters long. After a prolonged period (4 years for this customer), the F40R42.CREATETM value will rollover from 999999 to 1000000. The result of this is an overflow of the variable during the UPDATE of F40R42 as R47171 processes and a failure to commit to the DB. This exhibits itself in the logs as:
INSERT INTO PRODDTA/F40R42 VALUES
ODBC[Jdbodbc.c,3992] STMT:00 [22003][30160] [IBM][System iAccess ODBC Driver]Column 3: Numeric value out of range.
