E1: OMW: Error: "Not Found In User Defined Code H92 C1" when Updating Project Properties (Doc ID 1954634.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 22, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 8.98 to 9.2 [Release 8.98 to 9.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Object Management Workbench project properties, form Project Revisions, ID W98220B has a Category Codes tab. Category Code 1 field associated with UDC H92|C1. This UDC is delivered with some pre-populated values that appear related to internal handling and classification of SRs or BUGs within E1 development.

Because this is a Category Code UDC, clients expect to be able to modify the values as needed according to business requirements. Documentation regarding Category Code UDCs says:

"Category codes are UDC types that JD Edwards EnterpriseOne provides for you to customize according to your needs. You can change the code type and the description, and you can redefine the UDCs as appropriate for your purposes. For example, you might see a UDC type called Category Code 01. You can change its description and define the UDCs within it to suit your business needs."

Source: JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools System Administration Guide, section 10.1.1 UDCs, UDC Types, and Category Codes.

A problem however will occur if the blank value is removed from UDC H92|C1. This will cause the form W98220B to show error message "error: Not Found in User Defined Code H92 C1" every time the form is opened in UPDATE mode. Note this happens even when the field "Category Code 1" is populated with a valid non-blank value in the form.
