E1: 47: Cannot Find the EDI Trading Partner ID PNID in Address Book (Doc ID 1955206.1)

Last updated on APRIL 04, 2025

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne EDI - Version 9.1 to 9.1 [Release 9.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The EDI Trading Partner ID (PNID) is a supplier or customer key that EDI passes between EDI trading partners. Currently when running certain outbound EDI transactions like 850 (R43500) or 856 (R47032) the EDI Trading Partner ID can be stored in the processing options of the respective UBE.
This means the user either has to create lots of versions for each supplier used or has to allow end users to enter the PNID at run time which holds the risk of keying mistakes. Both options are not as good as having PNID stored in the address book.

The software should allow the EDI Trading Partner ID (PNID) to be stored in address book. The PNID should be added to the Address Book EDI tab in Customer Master (P03013) or Supplier Master (P04012) respectively.
