Symptoms

In many cases where the RSS system is used by an organization, a Requisitioner will order an item that can be supplied from stock. This is in principle a simple process of cancelling the requisition line and then the buyer informs the Inventory team to supply the material. There is currently no mechanism to track this process or to record that a requisition has been cancelled and supplied from stock. In P43E060 it would be helpful to allow a requisition line to be converted to a stock line and cancelled
Any OR order can be cancelled; the problem lies in signalling that the order was cancelled due to being supplied from stock. The “Justification” link in the P43E10 could be used to note the status of the order, but users are not alerted when information is added via this method.  An improvement would be an additional order status "FROM STOCK", together with a dedicated button in the P43E060 "Supply from Stock" that would cancel the order and update the order status accordingly.
Additionally, it would be beneficial to have a method of transferring the requisition to an issue materials document.  A method of communicating to the stores man that this information is being sent would also be useful.
