E1: 41: Need To Use Quantity Instead Of Sales Value For ABC Report (R4164 )

(Doc ID 1957576.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 02, 2015

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Inventory Management - Version 9.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Currently there are three choices for calculation method for determining A,B, and C items.

•    Total Sales - The system uses the Item History (F4115) file to rank the selected items (highest to lowest) in total sales.
•    Gross Margin - The system also uses the Item History (F4115) to rank the selected items based on margin percentage.
•    On-Hand Inventory Value

However, each of the above methods assumes that there is a cost and/or sales price associated with the items.
Request that another calculation method be added based on quantity alone in the F4115 table.

This would enable third party distributors who do not maintain a cost value for inventory that they are managing but do not own  to use this report to calculate and populate ABC values in the F4102 table.  This will be used downstream to decide on the best warehousing rules for the fast moving items.
