E1: 49:Tracking Number In BOL Incorrect (Doc ID 1962814.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 08, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Transportation Management - Version 9.0 to 9.0 [Release 9.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

With tracking number setup to use a next number for a segment, the R49115 prints the BOL with 00000000 as the next number instead of using the next number that is set up for the segment.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Set up 3 segments for a tracking number in P49005. First segment uses a hard coded value, 2nd segment uses look type of carrier, 3rd segment uses next number.
2. Set up the next number information in P490052.
3. Set up the BOL document in P49190 using CreateReferenceNumber as the external generation program.
4. Print the BOL for a shipment. The first two segments of the tracking number generate properly, but the 3rd segment uses 00000000 instead of the actual next number that is set up.
