Symptoms

P3292 - Cross Segment Editing Rules (CSERs)

Currently, the Configurator Cross Segment Editing Rules does not accept unconditional rules.
There is a need to allow unconditional " * " P3292 Cross Segment Editing Rules for Dynamic Configurator so that once P3210 loads, UDCs are pre-loaded with certain values from the available selection.

Example:
Dynamic configured Item 'A' has 'Segment10' = Color linked to UDC 32/CL.
UDC 32/CL has all colors listed as it is used across multiple items.

As physically item 'A' is only available in Red or Blue, the requirement would be to have the P3210 load and then Segment 10 - Color will only show 'Red' or 'Blue' as available options.

e.g.
* 10 Color EQ *VALUES (RED, BLUE)

WORKAROUND:
A workaround would be to have a segment, e.g. 999 with default value = 1 and then a CSER as follows:
I 999 test seg EQ 1
* 10 Color EQ RED
* 10 Color CE BLUE

This will load the UDC for Segment 10 Color with only 'Red' and 'Blue' as allowable values (Red would be default).
