E1: GRID: Import from Excel Does Not Work for Tools Release 9.1.5 through 9.1.5.4

Symptoms

Starting with TR 9.1.5.0 import from Excel does not work.

In multiple applications when trying to import from Excel it will not load the records into the application.

STEPS TO DUPLICATE

  1. Fastpath P0902Z1 Work With Batch Account Balances
  2.  Form Exit - Upload Records
  3.  Import from Excel 200 records
  4.  Click Apply - the data is loaded into import Assistant
  5.  Click Continue
  6.  It returns to the application but no records are inserted.

NOTE: If the last column in the Excel spreadsheet has NON-BLANK value there will be errors displayed in the main application on the imported data:

Blanks Invalid

  

Otherwise, there will be no error, only the data is not loaded. Same import issue was also seen in P0911, P09E2011.

The issue exists using Import from Excel only.

There is no issue using Import from CSV or Copy/Paste.

NOTE: For Import From Clipboard there is another code BUG reported in Import From Clipboard Does Not Work in Internet Explorer After Applying Fix For BUG 20188552 (Doc ID 1993929.1) solved in <BUG 20783541> IMPORT FROM CLIPBOARD DOES NOT WORK WITH IE AFTER APPLYING FIX FOR BUG 20188552. (The fix is first included in TR 9.1.5.4)
