E1: 41: Sell By Date on Lot Master (P4108) not Allowed to be Prior to Receipt Date (Doc ID 1968135.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 02, 2015

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Inventory Management - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On the Lot Master (P4108), if the Sell By Days = -30, the Sell by Date should be calculated as the Lot Expiration Date minus the Sell by Default Days on the Item/Branch record (P41026).   If an item is received on 12/15/2014 with a lot expiration date = 1/5/15 the Sell by Date should be calculated as 12/5/2014 (1/5/2015 - 30 days).  Instead, the system is calculating the Sell by Date as 12/15/2014.  The system will not calculate the Sell by Date for any date prior to the receipt date.

The Sell by Date is typically determined at the time the item is manufactured not at the time the Distributor receives the item into inventory.
