E1: INST: Web Development Client User Cannot Login to the Local JAS Server (the JAS Server on the Workstation) (Doc ID 1968159.1)

This document describes an issue where the web dev client user cannot login to the local JAS server (the JAS server on the workstation). The issue can be reproduced at will by taking the following steps.

  1. On the workstation login to the fat client using a valid EnterpriseOne user name and password combination with a valid environment name and role combination.
  2. Select the "EnterpriseOne Menu" option from the Tools menu.
  3. When the IE (Internet Explorer) browser window appears, via the browser window try to login to the local JAS server using the same login information used in step #1.
  4. Notice that the local JAS server login fails with the displayed error message "Sign In Error: An unknown JAS sign in error occurred."\
Whenever the issue is reproduced, the following error messages are written to the jderoot log file for the local JAS server.
