A company may offer a pre-tax and Roth 401(K) to employee's.
For the contributions of 1-3% the company has a 100% match (level 1)
For the contributions of 4-6% the company has a 50% match (level 2)
For the contributions of 7-50% the company has no match (level 3)
For employee's to use Employee Self Service to choose benefits they can mix pre-tax and Roth 401(K). Their Level 1 Plan choice could be pre-tax 401(K) and their Level 2 could be Roth 401(K). Pre-tax 401(K) and Roth 401(K) are different Plans and have different DBA's.
When an employee chooses level 2 they must have level 1 as a prerequisite but that prerequisite could be plan Pre-tax 401(K) or Roth 401(K). Current Plan Master setup does not have an option of Plan A "or" Plan B for prerequiste it only allows one prerequisite plan.
