E1: GRID: Frozen Amount Column is Not Calculated Correctly When Grid Row is Exited (Doc ID 1987253.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 22, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

1. On a custom Header Detail form there is a grid with 40 columns, the first 3 columns are descriptive, column 4 is an Amount field and columns 5 onwards are amount fields to be entered (Net Posting 1-36).

2. When the row is exited, Event Rules behind the Row Exited event add up all values from Net Posting columns 5 onwards and the Total amount is correctly placed in column 4 (Amount field). When Freezing the Amount column (4)

the calculation works and is displayed correctly.

4. However when shifting the grid using the horizontal scroll to push columns 1,2,3,4 behind the freeze, then entering values in Net Posting columns 5,6,7 onwards and exiting the row, the Amount column 4 is not populated.

5.When clicking back into the original row, the value in Amount column 4 is correctly displayed.

*Note: Another symptom of possibly the same cause was found during internal testing. At step 4, if the scroll bar is moved all the way to the left, the Amount is displayed correctly. However if the scroll bar is then moved to the right the Amount value disappears.

The above symptoms only affect web client, on a windows client it works fine.
