When a customer master records exist in both Address book (F0101) and the Customer master (F0301) and the category codes are populated with values other than blank, the batch upload process overwrites these values.
For example – the customer master has category codes 01 populated to “ABC”.
When using the batch upload process to change existing records, the batch upload tables (F0101Z1, F0301Z1) the action code is set to C for change.
If category code 01 is left blank in the batch upload tables, then the UBEs (R01010Z, R03010Z) overwrite the values in address book (F0101) and the customer master (F0301) with the values from the batch upload tables (F0101Z1, F0301Z1).
In this example, Category code 01 is changed from “ABC” to “Blank” as “Blank” is a valid value.
