E1: UPG: Unicode Conversion Fails on IBM AS400 V7R2 Platform With Error 'SQLSTATE: 08003. SQLCODE: -843: Connection to relational database JDESVR does not exist'

While trying to run the Unicode Conversion against a database residing on AS400 V7R2 platform, the process fails.
Upon starting the UnicodeDataConv.exe program and clicking on the 'Run Conversion' button, we get the 'Enter user name and password' screen multiple times. Even after providing the correct user name and password, we get the exception message pop up as below.

The error message logged in the UniDataConv_Log.xml file is as below.

There is no issue in opening applications, submitting reports on the AS400 Enterprise server or opening tables using Universal Table Browser (UTB), from the FAT client where the unicode conversion program is being executed.

The UnicodeDataConv.exe program is executed with 'Run as Administrator' option.

All the necessary privileges are present for JDE user on the AS400 side.
