Purpose

This document demonstrates how configure the JSESSIONID cookie for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne to have the "secure" attribute set. This tells the browser/user agent to only send the cookie back to the server using HTTPS.

Note that sessions are managed at the application server level. Encryption of the session cookie is handled by the application server (i.e., WebSphere or WebLogic), by configuring HTTPS.
