Last updated on NOVEMBER 21, 2016

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Warehouse Management - Version 9.0 to 9.0 [Release 9.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

License plate functionality is not suggesting proper location while putaway instructions are set to TB rule 4.

Steps:

1. Define putaway instructions for PL with Method Code = X (Existing Locations, Random), and TB = 4
2. Check the Location Capacity Workbench.
Location A - Used volume = 950, max volume = 4000
Location B - Used volume = 300, max volume = 4000
Location C - Used volume = 1000, max volume = 4000
3. When TB 4 (Sequence locations by least available space, but minimize the number of locations used) is used, the system is suggesting location A instead of C.
