E1: E1PAGE: FDA Portlets on an E1Page give 404 Error when Clicked On or Selected after User Session Times Out prior to 9.1.5.6 or 9.2.0.3 (Doc ID 2012547.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 05, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.1 to 9.2 [Release 9.1 to 9.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When E1 reaches the timed out status, instead of getting a message that the user needs to log out / in, the portlet on an E1Page gives a 404 error message. This causes the user to think there is something wrong with their connection to the content, not that E1 has timed out.

Error message:  HTTP404

Steps to replicate:

  1. Log into E1
  2. Select the Employee Self Service E1Page tab
  3. Do something else until the E1 time out occurs
  4. Go back to E1 and click on a link in the E1Page
  5. User gets the error message

Alternatively, if you try to do something in E1 outside of the E1 portlet, the user will get the correct message of needing to log in again.
