E1: 41: P4116 Supplier Information Is Not Copied To A Reclassified Lot (Doc ID 2015454.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 02, 2015

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Inventory Management - Version XE and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

If P4116 is used to change a lot number, the related information of the original lot about supplier number, supplier lot and purchase order number and order type are lost.

The request is that they should also be copied.

An Enhancement BUG was originally raised to request a change to this processing, back in 2001.
Bug 12490006 - SUPPLIER INFO NOT COPIED - SAR: 5491751

The request was ultimately closed in 2005 with the following explanation.

===================== FINAL DISPOSITION ROLLING LETTER =====================
Item Reclassifications / P4116
G4111
.
Reclassifications can combine multiple lots to create
one lot.
For this reason to ensure copying the correct supplier
lot information additional columns would have to be
added to the grid for the data to be entered.
.
This will be considered for a future enhancement.
--**--
This enhancement request has been closed. If you feel this
has been closed in error, please submit a new request for
enhancement.
==========================================================================

Now a new request has been submitted for this functionality to be reconsidered for inclusion into JDE E1 Software.
