Symptoms

After the installation and configuration of the Oracle 12c database for use as the local database, a database related error occurs in the following scenarios:.

Scenario 1 - Alternative language installation fails with the dialog, "impdp.exe has stopped working".

Scenario 2 - Client package install on a FAT client with Oracle 12c local database causes the dialog, "impdp.exe has stopped working".

The jdeinst.log has the following error:

 

Scenario 3 - During the installation workbench, the package workbench immediately returns the pop up message, "impdp.exe has stopped working".

Scenario 4 - Update package build from deployment server with Oracle 12c local database encounters an error, "PKGMSC0036 ERROR: Failed to import spec repository for parent package".

Scenario 5 - Language installation is successful but the language dbf file is not attached to E1Local and the implanguage_<Language>910 log file is not created.
