E1:42: Ability for Sales Update (R42800) to Process Revenue at Kit Component Level Rather Than Kit Parent Level (Doc ID 2017573.1)

Last updated on MAY 30, 2022

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Management - Version 8.11 Base and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When Sales Update (R42800) is processed for regular items (non-kit), the dollars for Revenue (External Sales) are assigned to same Business Unit as the related COGS dollars. But when R42800 is processed for a kit item, the dollars for Revenue (External Sales) are all assigned to the Business Unit/Account generated for the Kit Parent

R42800 for regular item
External Sales 500229.3112 17,536.00-
External Sales 500227.3112 7,772.00-
External Sales 500230.3112 283,490.00-

Total Revenue (External Sales) = 308,798.00

R42800 for kits
External Sales 500270.3112 308,798.00 (Kit parent)
External Sales 500230.3112 zero
External Sales 500229.3112 zero
External Sales 500227.3112 zero

Client would like to have the 308,798.00 at kit parent to be distributed at the kit component level. Is there a way within R42800 to put the Revenue into the revenue account (per the 4230 AAI) for each Kit Component?

R42800 is designed to maintain the amount at the kit parent level.
