E1: WLS: Full Elongation Displays Different Behavior for Multiple WebLogic Servers at the Same Release Level
(Doc ID 2021753.1)
Last updated on DECEMBER 26, 2023
Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.1 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
We have configured our JAS instances on Oracle WebLogic Server have noticed that "Full Elongation" setting in the JAS.INI, whether set to ON/Off or Default is not working consistently across multiple WebLogic servers of the same release type.
Each server is displaying different behavior (stretched screens, or compressed) and it does not matter the client changes the setting.
Full Elongation - This setting limits the elongation of form controls. Valid values are:
DEFAULT, ON, or OFF
DEFAULT = OFF starting with EnterpriseOne application release 9.1.
Setting the parameter to DEFAULT:
System will take the default value based on the Application release (9.0 or 9.1).
During DEFAULT, Full Elongation is always ON for Application release version prior to 9.1
During DEFAULT, Full Elongation is always OFF if the Application release is 9.1 & above.
Impact: Users accessing HTML client do not have consistent display of applications across multiple servers.. they can access the same application from one server, and on another the same application will open compressed or stretched.
