Last updated on AUGUST 06, 2021

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Inventory Management - Version 9.1 to 9.1 [Release 9.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

2nd Item Item (LITM) is not updated in Cycle Count table F4141 for all the records when its changed using Item Master P4101 version with Processing Option Global Updates tab, Transfer Changes set to 'Transfer changes to 2nd and 3rd item numbers in selected files'. The 2nd Item Number is updated only for the first record in F4141 table.

F4101 is resulting in unique key constraint errors resulting in the 3rd identifier not being completely updated in the F4141 as well as a Asynchronous Business Function error popup which does not stop the item 3rd identifier from being updated.

When setting the item master processing options for global update for both the 3rd or 2nd Item Numbers and there respective files using items from the F4141 Cycle Count Transaction File, the 3rd Item Number is updated in the Item Master but not completely in the F4141. Users should be able to change the 3rd item number and update via global update from item master using data from the F4141 Cycle Count Transaction File.

  1. Set P4101, Global Updates tab, Option #1 (Transfer Changes) = 2
  2. Make sure files F4141 (Cycle Count Transaction File) is correctly setup in UDC 40/IC
  3. Select an item with the same 2nd item number and 3rd item number from the F4141 that is on different cycle counts
  4. Using P4101 version from step #1, select an item that has records in the F4141 and change the 3rd Item Number (AITM). This may also happen if changing the 2nd Item Number
  5. Asynchronous Business Function error popup but 3rd Item Number gets updated
  6. Also, .log shows unique constraint (PRODDTA,F4141_PK) violated as notated in 9.1 bug 21292983
  7. Inquire on F4141 and review the cycle count records. The 3rd Item Number has only been updated for partial of the records
